The GridSmart Hot Water Optimiser has been designed to work with cylinders that are:
Single elements up to 3.6kW
Installed up to code
Over 135 litres
Under 15 years of age
Copper piping (inlet or outlet)
The Hot Water Optimiser should not be installed on:
Cylinders with alternative heat sources, including:
Wet backs/fireplaces;
Solar with DC elements; and
Heat pumps
Dual element cylinders, simultaneous and non-simultaneous
Hot water heat pumps
Gas storage cylinders
